Incident Reports
First race, first lap . . . Mark Edwards bit the dust! Wheels went flying and so did Mark. Congratulations! You are in the running for the 2012 Mike Cupps' Topsy Turvy Award.
Hit the Deck!
The 2010 Season began in Bulverde, Texas where there were two racers in the running for the coveted Mike Cupps' Topsy Turvy Award. Michelle Bittle, in the lead racing IMOW, with Bonnie Driggers hot in second and Sammie Neel bringing up the lead. Turn three, Michelle and her mower flipped. It looked as if Michelle did a cartwheel, without hands! Thank goodness, her worst injury was her wrist and hand. That's gotta hurt!!! Steve Wertheim, racing CP, caught a bump in the track in turn two, causing him and his mower to flip. It wasn't caught on film, but it was very scary. The EMT's were on the track immediately and Steve was taken to the hospital. He checked out with a sprained knee and NO broken bones. Way to go Steve!
Pour Some Mower on Me
John Nelson was a two-time winner of the Topsy Turvy Award in 2005 and 2006, and he has others trying to take it away. In 2008 Scott Bittle took home the golden trophy for his efforts at the Hope, Arkansas race where he turned over his F/X Class mower not once, but twice in the same day! After the 2009 Season, Richard Lively stepped up and claimed the ultra coveted trophy! Way to MOW Richard.
