The LSMRA 2014 Racing Season is ON!

Last year, the LSMRA was filmed for an episode of the The Edge of America: Texas with Geoff Edgers, who is the host. The air date for this program was March 14, 2013, at 11:00 EST. If you missed the airing on TV, please go to: http://www.letsmow.com/2013/03/travel-channels-edge-of-america-texas-visits-the-lone-star-mower-racing-association/  . Thank you, Bruce Kaufman, for putting this on the internet for ALL to see! We also raced at the Texas Motor Speedway in April 2013 for their Annual Ticket Holders at the NRA 500 Race. LSMRA Racers, Doyal Rice and Larry Benning, loaned their mowers to be raced in a grudge match by Kyle Petty and Rutledge Wood.

Racers have tuned up their mowers for this 2014 season. We are off to a new HIGHLY competitive season. There will be new race venues and new "ROOKIE" racers, as well as familiar stomping grounds and "old" familiar racers.  A NEW Class of racing mowers has been added to our classifications.  We will now be running the FXS Class.  Come to the races and check them out!!!!!

Our venues this season are (all in Texas):  Gun Barrel City, Athens, Marble Falls and Hempstead. Please check this site periodically for our updated schedule and standings.

Keep Athens Beautiful (KAB) is hosting their 10th Annual Home and Garden Event on March 7, 2015 at the Henderson County Regional Fair Park Complex, Athens, TX.  In addition to the exhibits, the LSMRA will be racing at 11:00 a.m.  Tickets to see the race are $5.00 each.  Vendors will have information on remodeling kitchens, baths, building structures, lawn and garden care and MORE.  There is an activities area just for children.  Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or six for $5.00.  The Master Gardeners Club will hold mini programs every hour starting at 9:30 a.m.

Sweetberry Farm in Marble Falls is hosting its 4th Annual LSMRA Race on March 28, 2015 for the benefit of the American Cancer Society.  Races start at 2:00 p.m.  There are so many activities at Sweetberry Farm for the whole family to enjoy.  The sweetest is picking your own strawberries.  They have an area for the children to play, run and jump.  Their fresh Strawberry Smoothies are to DIE FOR!

Friends for Wishes is hosting an LSMRA Race in Hempstead on April 25, 2015 benefiting children with life threatening medical conditions.  This year's recipient is Kendall, age 14, who has had a kidney transplant.  Her wish was for a Golden Doodle Puppy.  Kendall, along with other Friends for Wishes recipients will be at this event, so come out and meet them.  In addition to the races, there will be a BBQ Cookoff, Kids Que and NFL Play 60, Raffles, live music by The Telstars (and dancing).   LSMRA Races start at 1:00 p.m.

SEE YOU AT THE RACES!
